Professional Military Education as an Institution: A Short (Historical) Institutionalist Survey

چکیده
This paper aims to take a step towards overcoming two lacunae in Professional Military Education (PME) literature. First, the lack of conceptualisation what PME is and its relationship military professionalism. Second, fact that vast majority literature consists studies concerning single organisation, e.g. specific academy or college; there almost complete national, regional global PME. The current takes first lacuna by defining as an institution taking historical institutionalist approach tracing evolution Western world. new will also demonstrate how sound could contribute second lacuna.
